Forget About The Gurus And Living For Tomorrow

This post is an example of the content I share every Friday in my Living by Experience Magazine. If you’d like your free copy, just click here.
My personal website states that I’m an “Author, Artist, and Advisor”. A triple-A “freedompreneur”, as I’d like to call it. The topics I write about vary loosely amongst those three main themes, giving me a lot of creative freedom to share what’s been on my mind most in any given week, hoping it’ll benefit you in some way. This week, I’m happy to finally be working on some photography projects again today and updating my gallery!
My creative career started right there, at the Artist side of things, even though I didn’t call myself that at that time. I just enjoyed creating photographs. When I was invited to participate in several art events, people starting buying my work to “make their walls smile”. Amazing. Amongst many others, my “Lady in Red” is one of the photographs that became the most popular over the years.
My Lady in Red is one of the photographs I took on my first trip to Paris after opening my fine art studio in Canada. It was just at an outdoor arts festival, in the beautiful Montmartre area, close to the Moulin Rouge and the Sacre Coeur. I just walked by the event, which featured several people in costume, and tried to capture some of it.
On that creative journey, three things stand out to me. They’re interconnected and in my online teaching programs for creative entrepreneurs you’ll see these coming back all the time to keep things real. Here they are:
1. I don’t believe in gurus.
As creative entrepreneurs, we’re constantly being told by coaches and other self-proclaimed “gurus” on the internet that there are so many things we must do in order to achieve success..Most modern day “gurus” are selling a step-by-step shortcut to “success” that worked for them – but most likely will NOT work for you. Sorry to burst the bubble. Read the disclaimers in their fine-print, if you don’t believe me. We’re all on our own path, our own journey, through life – and the only objective is to become more you. What I teach is guideline you can use to carve out your own journey.
2. I don’t believe in tomorrow.
The most common objection for people to not join my Travel Revolution program right now, is that they don’t want to travel right now. Overnight results don’t exist. Even if you don’t want to head to the airport and board a plane this very moment, it doesn’t hurt to dream, make plans and maybe even start taking some action towards your future goals, even today. If you want to benefit from the success principles I teach, it’ll take a while to get everything up and running. What are you waiting for? Let go of the procrastination and need to do it perfectly and just get started today.
3. Talk is cheap.
I don’t buy big stories and like to keep it real. Don’t talk about what you’ll achieve, dare to be real and show it through your actions. Walk the talk – live the dream. Only action leads to real results.
So now it’s up to you. Will you take the next step and start a conversation? I’d like to hear from you. You can choose from any of my online video courses and start your journey with a complimentary preview. Once you join or even just preview in any program, I send you my cellphone number so we connect directly via text. That’s not to sell you. It’s to make sure the program is the right fit for you, and to support you along the way. I look forward to hear from you.
P.S. Questions, comments, compliments? Text me: 604-210-8668. I’d love to hear from you.
If this post helped you, please consider buying one of my books, or checking out a more in-depth course on one of the topics I talk about. Thanks! 🙂
