Just about one year ago today my first travel hacking book in The Freedom Project series became a #1 best seller on Amazon. To me it was the perfect example that sometimes you just have to take that next step – without knowing what lies ahead. When I first started writing down some thoughts on how to organize my travel and get free airfare, I never thought that would eventually lead to me holding a print copy of those thoughts in my own hands. That in itself was a pretty exciting moment which I will never forget. Today I teach budding authors how to go through that process themselves in my popular Write a Book in a Week program.
But it didn’t stop there. The book continued to climb through the ranks and eventually ended up a number one international best seller on February 26, 2015. That’s just about a year ago when I write this post. And, ambitious as we are, we decided to believe we can do the same for the Happiness book. The book already became a number one hot release on Amazon, and remained in the top-100 or so ever since, but never really scored single-digit numbers on the bestseller list. Since the third module of my Write a Book in a Week program teaches authors how to market their book properly to make it a bestseller, I wanted to do the same for Happiness.
Long story short: We ended on #8 of the Amazon best seller list this past Friday. It was a lot of fun to see the book climb through the ranks. Not quite the #1 spot yet that I was aiming for – but with over 3000 new books published every day (!) it was amazing to be in the single digits on top of that huge pile of books.
I’m still aiming for that number one spot for Happiness as well, so if you don’t have it yet – would today be a good day? Buy yourself a copy (or ten) on Amazon. – Thanks!Get Happiness
P.S. Pro tip – buy any of my paperback books on Amazon and start reading it right away on your Kindle – for free!
