Until now I’ve been sending out weekly “digest” emails on Friday, summarizing all posts for that week. I’ve been asked several times now why I’m not sending out an email the same day a new post appears, which is generally every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Since Facebook doesn’t show all posts (even if you’re my friend or “like” my page), there is a chance you could miss out on a post. The point of having these emails is that you’d be one of the first to know when there’s something new to read on the blog.

For my fellow bloggers: Email marketing can be tricky when you’re trying to give your customers the best in information, products and entertainment. The trick is figuring out when the best time to send an email newsletter to engage with your audience, and share just the right content. Thanks to Mailchimp, setting up a list and sharing content is easy! Interested in starting to build or improve your own list? Check it out for yourself here.
