A lot has changed on on my end. After over a decade I’ve left Calgary and moved even further West to be closer to the water again. I thought I wouldn’t be moving here, but eventually did anyway. Hello, Vancouver!
A different city means a different area code, so I want to share my new number with you: (604) 210 8668. Yes, that’s actually me (read below why I’m doing this). But first, please shoot me a quick text to stay in touch.
You can add me to your contacts by scanning the QR code with your smartphone camera, or clicking the button below.
It’s actually me – for real
And yes – that number is actually mine and your message goes straight to my phone. No bots or automation here.
Here’s why: I’ve been looking for something more personal to build a closer connection to my favourite people. Text messaging has always been one of the best ways to get a hold of me. So I figured I’d share my number publicly so we can be more than internet friends. For real. Send me a text message, just to say Hello. I can’t wait to hear from you!
I’m super excited to invite you to join! – All you have to do is text me – (604) 210-8668
Less media, more social
I’m tired of all the promotion I see on social media, and I’m sure you are too. One of my most important goals is to have much more direct communication with all of you, not controlled by social media bots and algorithms, but from one human being to another.
With social media, it’s easy for me to post and share content, but I know that not many of you actually see everything I post. Through text, not only will I be able reach you directly, but instead of a one-way street where I send you content, it becomes a two-way street where we can have a real conversation.
That’s right, you can text me back. I want to hear from you.
One more thing: Humans only
This is the beginning of a new chapter and I hope you’ll join me on this journey, and build a direct connection. For the first time in a very long time I’ve been excited about something that I know will make a huge difference.
This isn’t one of those “you think you’re talking to me, but it’s actually a robot” – I promise, it’s me every message. And, this is not a one-way street but you can text me back. You can ask questions and chat directly with me, or share what you’re working on. It’s an opportunity to get to know you better. Not hidden behind numbers and data, controlled by bots and algorithms, but through real communication.
Thank you for being part of my blog and magazine community. But let’s be more than internet friends. For real.
Send me a text message, even if it’s just to say Hello. I can’t wait to hear from you!Say Hello
