Happiness and success are both not a destination somewhere along the horizon. The horizon is just an imaginary line that will recede further as you approach it. If you put your happiness and success on that horizon you’ll never get there. Happiness is a state of being, it’s a vehicle that will help you get from where you are today to where you want to be tomorrow.

Happiness isn’t a goal in itself, but like money, a means to an end. If what you’re doing is in alignment with your highest vision, purpose and passions you will find yourself in a state of joy and happiness. Your internal compass is telling you you’re moving in the right direction. If you’re going the wrong way, and doing things that are not in alignment with your purpose, you will find the happiness indicator of your internal guidance system turns off, and you’ll feel dis-ease in your body at some level.
