Busyness kills creativity: how to get laser focus on what you really want

We’re often so busy running from one event or meeting to another, that we barely have time to breathe in between. We fill our calendars with meetings, are constantly on our email and social media just to make sure we don’t miss out on anything.
All those activities introduce a lot of clutter if we don’t put them in the right place. Sir Ken Robinson said, “email attempted to solve a problem we never had and it continues to introduce problems we can do without”.
I’m not opposed against technology at all, and I do enjoy all my latest smart devices, however I dislike the amount of interruption in my day they introduce. The constant stream of emails and other notifications turn my devices into a symphony of bells and whistles. I’ve turned most notifications off, so that I’m only getting notifications that require my immediate attention: a phone call, or text message.
