Do You Book Travel Far In Advance, Or More Last Minute?
Both can work, but it’s either/or: I book my tickets either a few months in advance, or last-minute.
It mostly depends on the type of trip I’m taking.
For some international travel booking too last-minute takes away some of the fun, as well as the ability to appropriately plan for the trip. This becomes important especially when I’m not familiar with the destination just yet. Doing research and booking accommodations both take time.
Then again, planning too far ahead can become costly if my travel plans or circumstances change. Quick getaways, like a few days in Las Vegas or New York, I’ll often book less than a week in advance.
