Overcoming The 3 Biggest Obstacles To Financial Freedom
Every one of us faces challenges in achieving financial freedom. It’s not an easy journey – or everybody would be doing it already. The challenges you face along the way are meant to help you grow and learn. Contrary to popular (limiting) beliefs, challenges are not meant to keep you stuck in the same cycle (or soul-sucking job) for the rest of your life. Unfortunately, many of us are spinning our financial wheels, unable to break free and experience a much greater level of financial freedom, and success.
This is not because we are not smart enough or because we’re not trying hard enough. The fact you’re reading this suggests you’re not lazy, and committed to achieve a profound change in your life. For many of us the problem is that we think too much and act too little. We make progress too complicated, which makes us try a lot harder than we have to. This frustrating cycle can wreak havoc on our personal lives, and the level of freedom we’re experiencing in it.
Forget about being perpetually confused and disgruntled by the reality of never meeting your standards for finding success and freedom in life. Quantum physics suggests that everything in the universe is made up of energy. This includes money. We decide if the energetic force of money is either positive or negative in our lives, based on the relationship that we have with it.
To understand your relationship with money, there are essentially three main obstacles that we face in attracting the kind of wealth, money and freedom that we truly desire.
1. Limiting beliefs about money
The main thing that keeps us stuck in our current financial situation is what we believe to be true about who we are and how much of value we have to offer others. This is where most of us get stuck. You can strive for financial independence all you want, but if your underlying belief system contradicts this pursuit, then you will always end up back in the same place. It’s like your financial thermostat. Like the heating (or cooling) in your house – your thermostat will always bring the temperature back to a preset level of comfort. Your bank account behaves in the same way. Negative and damaging beliefs control the thermostat. They have to turned up, if you want to attract a lot of money into your life in a way that is based on integrity. When your core beliefs are based on abundance and prosperity, then you will be energetically aligned with the reality of a lot of money coming into your life. What “a lot of money” means, depends entirely on what you believe and how high your financial thermostat is set today. Let’s turn it up a notch or two.
2. Your perception of money
A couple of decades ago, just about everybody used to have a 9-to-5 job with benefits and retirement plan. That model is changing rapidly. We are living in an information age. Money can be made in many new ways. There are many people who no longer believe in the 9-to-5 lifestyle. Instead, they’re living life on their own terms. They’ve added additional options for generating money to their arsenal of tools. They have been able to do this because they have a different perception of money and cash flow. They have seen that money can be made through a variety of creative means, such as internet marketing, real estate investing, and offering information products to a niche market. Many of us still feel guilty or lazy when we consider structuring our lives so that are our time is freed up and we can do what we really want to do. It is a radical step to disconnect time, money and location, because we see so many people around us who stick to traditional patterns. But that’s just their life. This is about yours. Are you willing to step out and be a pioneer on your own path?
3. Lack of support and mentoring
Every one of us needs some guidance to get from where we are to where we want to be. We have to be willing to seek out the support and wisdom of those who have achieved a high level of success in the area that we would like to pursue. Look up any successful entrepreneurs that you admire. This is not about comparing yourself to them, but seeking out a mentor. You’ll discover they have surrounded themselves with a team of people that helped them to get to where they are today. You can’t do it on your own. Period. It is essential to immerse yourself in communities of like-minded people who are also interested in financial freedom. Get yourself a coach or mentor. Surround yourself with positive, successful people that you can learn from. Saturate your mind with books, courses and programs that talk about the success, freedom and happiness that come from fulfilling the goals you have set for yourself.
Embarking on a journey to disconnect time, money and location is an enriching and stimulating adventure. It gives you the opportunity to free yourself of limiting beliefs, so that your whole life becomes filled with potential. The energy that stems from that potential will help you connect with others in a meaningful way. You’ll form friendships and relationships with people who have similar interests.
