“Speeding fines are double when construction workers are present.”
I get it. Working on the side (or just on) the road is scary business. I always slow down when there is construction going on. I would hate to damage my car, or a person working on the roads they make better for me. I especially love the signs with a picture of a kid and his dad, saying “my dad works here – please make sure he comes home safe”. I can’t guarantee his safe return (other factors outside of my control come into play) but I’ll do my part and slow down.
Last week I got a massive rock chip on my car. From a construction gravel truck. He was flying at an insane speed through a residential zone. My residential zone, to be precise. Slinging a rock the size of a brick onto my windshield. So dear construction drivers – please slow the (insert derogatory term) down yourself, I LIVE here.
End of rant. Thank you.
