The View You Want to Take Home
Relaunching My Travel Photography Site — and the Story Behind It

Somewhere between writing books, running marathons, and teaching courses, I lost track of where this all began. Not entirely, but maybe a little bit. Just enough for it to sit on the back burner longer than I intended: I’m talking about my travel photography site. This site is where it all started, and it has quietly existed in the background all this time, like an old friend I kept meaning to call. The truth is, it wasn’t gone — just neglected. The process of uploading new photographs had become so clunky and outdated that it slowly ground to a halt.
And then I caught myself repeating the same advice I’ve given to so many of my students:1
If your process is broken or outdated, how much opportunity are you missing out on?
So, I decided to change it all up.
Over the past several months, I’ve rebuilt nearly all my websites from scratch2, and moved away from a third-party platform I’ve loved (and promoted) for years. My photography site, however, was the hardest. Not because the content wasn’t ready, but because I wanted to do it justice. I didn’t just want dump a bunch of pretty pictures online. I wanted to create a site that would inspire people to travel. To see the world. And maybe, to bring a piece of it home with them.
As much as I want people to see my creative work, I also want them to see through it.
As much as I want people to see my creative work, I also want them to see through it: to recognize a place they’ve been, or a remember a feeling they’ve had. Maybe even to spark a memory or a dream. And if it resonates deeply enough, they’ll decide to take that view home, and make their walls smile with one of my images.
From Amsterdam to Your Wall — and Everywhere In Between
Even though I’m still moving in new images, the new site is now live. It’s cleaner, faster, and most importantly, easier for me to update - and more fun for you to explore (I hope). I’ll be adding new photography regularly, featuring images from all over the world, from trips and stories I haven’t even shared yet with you. You’ll be able to explore not just by image or subject, but also by destination — because this isn’t just about art. It’s about travel, perspective, and seeing something familiar in a new way.
If you find a piece that moves you, that reminds you of a place you’ve been or a place you still hope to go, I’d be honoured to help you create a custom museum quality print — whether that’s on acrylic glass, aluminum, bamboo, canvas, or traditional fine art paper.
But this is not about sales. For me, it never is. It’s just about sharing things I’m excited about. So even if you never buy a thing, I hope you’ll visit. Explore. Wander. Get lost in the view.
