Travel works in all sizes: money saving fun for the entire family this summer
I wrote a book about travel hacking and flying for free, which I think is one way to have a blast with the whole family while saving a lot: usually the most expensive part of a trip is getting to where you want to be. But travel works in all sizes, and there really is no need to go far from home. A (day) trip to the next town over can be just as exciting as one across the country, or the planet.
I like to get away at least once a month for a short trip, and traveling across the globe every few weeks is simply not always going to happen. While the extended trips to different continents are nice, I’m happy that the experience of travel can also be found much closer to home. Living in Western Canada, the Rocky Mountains are within short range from my home, and a few days there put me in such a different place that I often feel I’ve been gone for much longer.
