Irie: to be at total peace with your current state of being. The way you feel when you have no worries.
“Everything Irie” is the Jamaican way of saying everything’s ok. One of the things I learned when I visited Jamaica, a while back. On my trip there I was fortunate enough to meet Michael. We got talking, and I ended up sending him a copy of my travel hacking book after I got home. A few weeks later he sent me this:
The video made me chuckle, so I just wanted to share it with you.
Is Jamaica on your bucket list to visit? Have you already been? Please share in the comments! I found Jamaica to be an interesting island in the Caribbean. There’s a lush topography of mountains, rainforests and reef-lined beaches. You’ll find most of the all-inclusive resorts in Montego Bay and Negril. You’ll find some cool British-colonial architecture in Montego Bay. Negril is home to the best diving and snorkeling sites. Of course Jamaica is famous for it’s reggae music, and capital city Kingston is home to the Bob Marley Museum.
Jamaica is a popular stop for cruise ships. If you’re interested in just a quick visit, have a look at your cruise options through Living by Experience. Don’t miss the Blue Mountain coffee, and of course the local rum.
