Do you have a website? I’d be surprised if you didn’t, but just in case I wrote an article a while back to help you get started on a website. If you already have a website (I assume you do), what about traffic? Do you track how many people visit your site, and where they’re coming from? Too many small entrepreneurs default to paid advertisements to drive traffic. Especially Facebook ads are unnecessarily popular at this time. Just about everyone is talking about them. But nobody is asking about the numbers, your numbers. Ask yourself this simple question: for every dollar (single) spent, how many dollars (multiple) are you getting back? If your ratio is below 1:2, you’re in trouble. Most creative entrepreneurs barely break even. It’s time to stop the madness.

One of the best strategies to build traffic to your website organically, is search engine optimization. It works way better than paid advertisements. Think about it: anyone searching on Google is already looking for you. Anyone browsing Facebook is not; they want to see their friends’ vacation pictures, and think all the tracking behind ads from websites they may have visited are “creepy”. Not the brand image I’m looking to build. Are you?
