To Airbnb Or Not To Airbnb – That’s The Question
Once all the flights are booked, I go back to my list of accommodations and simply fill in the blanks for the rest of the trip, one baby step at a time.
Where To Stay
Since there are usually less airplanes landing at the destination on any given day compared to the amount of hotels available, this should be relatively easy. I pick a place to sleep that I like based on price as well as reviews or my own past experiences. With a flight and hotel secured, it’s time for me to start thinking about what I want to do while I’m there.
Is It Better To Stay In An Airbnb Or Get A Hotel?
I don’t like Airbnb for many different reasons – the main one being that hotels and resorts treat me very well because of my status. I always get upgraded to better rooms, and often get additional privileges. Saving a few dollars on an Airbnb therefore becomes a less desirable experience, even if you didn’t consider the many issues you might encounter dealing with individual Airbnb providers in far-flung destinations.
